Newcraigs Church has been actively involved in working with the local Community Forum.  This group is made up of local councillors, key workers and interested residents who want to see a positive difference made in our area for the mutual benefit of everyone.

The group have organised clean-ups throughout the area where a good group of people of all ages will meet at a given point. Rubbish pickers, rubber gloves, plastic bin liners etc. are distributed and an hour or so is spent clearing the debris that has gathered or been dumped.  The incentive is home made scones and buns for lunch and some good fun together.

Important local issues are discussed at Forum meetings and the thoughts and concerns are reported back to our local council with the prospect of something being carried forward into action.  Target concerns for this group are the Elderly and the Youth of the area.
